Cyprus Mermaids put on a mermaid-themed children's party, and they do it properly rather than with one costume. A professional mermaid comes to the party with fifteen monofins sized for children aged six to twelve and over fifty tails that suit girls and boys alike, sets up a themed backdrop with a mermaid scene and does the mermaid make-up. The same team runs private events and photo shoots. The grown-up side of the business is PADI Mermaid courses — they work out of a diving centre at Kissonerga, just outside Paphos.

The 360 booth turns out fun, shareable clips with your choice of music and text. The set-up comes with a red carpet, stanchions and braided ropes and colourful LED lighting; the print template is designed around your party with names, date and any text you like, and with enough notice they will even make bespoke backdrops and props.

The oldest programme of the Cyprus Red Cross: a centre for children and young people with severe physical and multiple disabilities, running since 1957. It began in 1957 as a children's convalescent home, reopened after 1974 on a new site and has worked there without a break since 1980; its present name honours Stella Soulioti, for many years the organisation's president. Every year more than a hundred children and young people up to the age of twenty-two are treated here, with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, genetic syndromes, neurological conditions and developmental difficulties. The therapies are drawn into a single plan for each child: physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, hippotherapy, music therapy and psychological support. The centre takes equal care that the place feels safe and homely, so that a child does not only receive treatment but plays, makes friends and finds some joy in the day.

Cyprus School of Sound, founded in 2014, is the island's first private institute of music technology and is recognised by the Ministry of Education. It teaches music production, audio engineering and composition, taking students in ten months from the first musical idea through recording, mixing and mastering. Classes are small, each student gets individual support, and practical work takes place in the institute's own recording studio. It sits in Strovolos, by the motorway exit near the GSP Stadium.
