Dance and Art Summer Camp is the summer holiday camp run by the Live Dance centre in Limassol, and over its eight years it has welcomed thousands of children from many countries. Each morning begins with lively games in a eucalyptus park right by the sea; by a quarter past ten everyone has moved on to the centre's studio in Agios Athanasios for fitness work, gymnastics and dance, creative art-therapy workshops and games to keep young minds busy. Hot lunches and suppers come from a children's kitchen. Families can book the morning, until two, or the full day, until six. The programme was devised by the founder and director of Live Dance, a teacher with some thirty years' experience.

A ballet school on John Kennedy Avenue in Nicosia with a plainly stated character: ballet done with elegance. There is one discipline here and that is deliberate — the school teaches classical work rather than a little of everything, and keeps a separate page for its class intakes. Enrolling is a phone call away: the number sits in the school's profile next to the address. Age groups and fees are not published.

Street dance in Limassol: hip hop, locking and breaking. Children's and adult groups are recruited separately, so a child dances among their own age rather than keeping up with grown-ups. The offering is stated briefly and honestly — three styles, all of them street; anyone looking specifically for breaking need look no further.
Dance Flow Studios in Strovolos is run by Galatia Savva, who trained at the Rambert School in London, holds an RAD teaching diploma and spent twelve years dancing with Balletto di Toscana, Ballet Cyprus and other companies. Ballet starts at three, with little ones building strength through exercises, mime and play; from six they move on to the Royal Academy of Dance exam syllabus, and the most dedicated work right up to the vocational grades and pointe. Contemporary is taught at three levels from eleven, alongside neoclassical, modern for younger children, commercial dance for teenagers, and stretching and strengthening. Galatia's choreographies have taken first places at Greece Nationals and Dance Link, and in 2026 the school won the RAD Award for Innovation and Creativity in Dance Education. Parents aren't left out either: there's an adult contemporary class, and no experience is needed.

Frosso Hadjigeorgiou's studio, DFH, in Limassol is celebrating fifty years in dance, and welcomes everyone 'from beginners to prima ballerinas'. Classical ballet, with pointe and repertoire, is the heart of it, alongside contemporary, jazz and stretch-and-flexibility classes, and every age and level is welcome. Pupils sit exams and take to the competition stage — the 2025 Pancyprian competition among them.
Dance House by Kalia in Larnaca lives by the motto 'dance to find magic' and describes itself as a school of dance, education and the performing arts. Classical ballet in the RAD and Vaganova traditions is at its core, alongside commercial, contemporary, hip-hop and Latin. Season after season the school pairs the joy of dance with the pursuit of excellence, talking of movement, artistry, discipline and passion – and of growing as a dancer and as a person. Pupils take to the stage in full-scale shows such as Mamma Mia, and in summer the school opens Summer House, its holiday programme for children.
Archiepiskopou Paisiou 89, Larnaka 6041
Evi Panayiotou's dance school in Limassol takes two things seriously: classical ballet to the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and contemporary dance in the Release and Graham techniques. There are classes for children and adults alike, and pupils sit RAD exams and dance at competitions.
Kalia Papafilippou's dance school is in the village of Erimi, just outside Limassol. Classical ballet is taught to the RAD syllabus, alongside contemporary, funky jazz, hip hop and Latin, with stretching, keep-fit and Pilates to round things off. The school also choreographs wedding dances — and routines for any other occasion.
Katerina Poupazi Cosma's dance school on Tyrnavou Street in Larnaca has spent twenty years working from a simple belief: dance is for everyone, whatever their build, fitness or age. Boys and girls can begin here from nursery age. Ballet is the backbone of the school, with older pupils going on to learn the classical repertoire. Alongside it sit hip hop and breaking, jazz and contemporary, and the children can try theatre play as well.
