28 October Celebrations in Polis Chrysochous: School Parade

About the event

The highlight of the 28 October national holiday in Polis Chrysochous: a parade of pupils from schools across the district. The school band leads the march, and the band of the town's Lyceum and Technical School plays throughout under its music teacher, Ioannis Kyriakou. The town is up early for the occasion, with the band touring the streets at 6.30am, the flags raised at the town hall at 7am and a thanksgiving service at the Church of the Apostle Andrew at 10am. The parade itself sets off at 10.45am.
