CHAMBER MUSIC 1 – Violin Trio

About the event

The first concert in the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra's chamber series is devoted to the particular charm of the violin trio. Three of the orchestra's violinists, Janna Dimont, Hasmik Sargsyan and Varvara Merzlova-Peneva, play Carl Mikuli's Scherzino, Friedrich Hermann's capriccios and suite and pieces by Ernst Spies, all written for three violins. The programme moves from sparkling showpieces to lyrical character pieces. In this series the orchestra's own players step forward and take centre stage, and the intimate setting brings the audience close enough to catch every exchange between them. The concert starts at 8pm, with tickets at €12, or €7 for concessions.
