About the event
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra rings in Christmas with an evening of Viennese charm. Under artistic director Myron Michailidis, soprano Mariza Anastasiades and tenor Dario Di Vietri sing favourite songs by Robert Stolz, including Two Hearts in Three-Quarter Time and The Trees Are Blooming Again in the Prater. The second half belongs to the Strauss family, with waltzes, polkas, marches and galops by Johann I, Johann II, Eduard and Josef, among them The Blue Danube and the quickfire Ohne Sorgen polka. The concert starts at 8.30pm, with tickets at €30 and €25, or €23 and €20 for students, soldiers, pensioners and large families. Unemployed people, recipients of the Guaranteed Minimum Income and disabled visitors go free, provided they book by email at least two working days ahead.
