Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra – LA TRAVIATA by Giuseppe Verdi

About the event

The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra presents Verdi's La Traviata as a fully staged production, directed by Egli Spyridaki and conducted by its Artistic Director, Yiorgos Kountouris. The internationally known Cypriot baritone Kyros Patsalides sings Germont, the young soprano Eleni Charalambous is Violetta and Christos Delizonas takes the role of Alfredo. The orchestra's own choir, trained by Loizos Loizou, sings the choruses, while the Nicosia Youth Ballet brings movement and theatre to the stage. The all-Cypriot cast mixes seasoned singers with emerging talent, and the production is pitched at devoted opera lovers and newcomers alike. Performances begin at 7.30pm, with tickets at €25 and €35.
