Iron Difficulty Ride to the Paphos Forests — Ledra Motorcycles Club of Nicosia

Ledra Motorcycle Club heads for the Paphos forests on its Iron Difficulty Ride, a round trip of roughly 260 km. The route runs from Nicosia through Kampos, Cedar Valley, Panagia, Vretsia, Salamiou, Agios Nikolaos, the Tzielefos Bridge, Kaminaria, Pedoulas and Kakopetria, getting back in the late afternoon or evening. Riders meet at 7.30am at the ESSO station in Strovolos by the Cineplex, with a briefing at 7.45am and departure at 8am sharp. There are stops for a stretch, a coffee and a snack, though no lunch stop, and a fuel stop about 180 km in on the way back. Helmet, jacket, gloves, boots and at least jeans are compulsory, it may be chilly in the hills, overtaking and risky manoeuvres are banned and everyone keeps to the speed limits and follows the marshals. Riders take part at their own risk, and the route may change or be postponed if the weather turns.
