Festivals & fairsLumina Botanical Autumn & Halloween FestivalFor one weekend the Lumina botanical garden in Kornos becomes a proper autumn knees-up. Children can brave the maze and the tunnel of fear, try their luck at Survivor and a sprawling treasure hunt, clamber over the floating play area, dive into a huge wheat pit, have their faces painted or get gloriously mucky with messy play. There are creative workshops too, plus a theatre workshop in which children take their cue from the garden around them, improvise and dream up a better world; a few activities cost extra. Among the paths and fragrant herbs sits a Halloween market of local makers, and nobody goes hungry: street food, a Cypriot brunch, pumpkin soup, traditional kolokotes and koulouria straight from the wood-fired oven, and autumnal coffees and teas. It runs from 10am to 6pm, and tickets are €13 for adults and €8 for children, on the gate or online through Ticketmaster.cy.31 Oct – 1 Nov10:00–18:00Larnaca, Lumina Botanical Gardens, Kornos€adults €13, children €8

Drama and comedy intertwine in a deeply human tale of solidarity, love and the unbreakable power of hope. On tour in Larnaca it plays the G.
