Theatre & showsMurder on the Orient Express (THOC)The Cyprus Theatre Organisation (THOC) takes Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express on tour, in Ken Ludwig's stage adaptation directed by Takis Tzamargias. A snowstorm strands the luxurious train, a murder shatters the calm, and Hercule Poirot — played by Neoklis Neokleous — must see through the lies, silences and contradictions of his fellow passengers while the list of suspects keeps on growing. A puzzling, tragicomic game of truth and deceit in which the smallest detail can turn everything on its head. In Larnaca the company plays the G. Lykourgos Municipal Theatre. Theatre & showsLittle Red Riding Hood — THOC Stage 018 on tour in LarnacaLittle Red Riding Hood rolls into Larnaca: Stage 018's new staging, adapted by Andri Theodotou and directed by Fotis Nikolaou, of a story every family knows by heart. Here the woods become a world of emotion, shape and colour, and the Wolf is less pantomime villain than the nagging voice of one's own fears. A choreographer at the helm, a cast fizzing with energy, specially made masks and an atmospheric score from Ecati make for just over an hour that's as funny as it is quietly brave.
