Listening to the Person: Music Therapy Symposium in Nicosia

About the event

To mark European Music Therapy Day, the Association of Registered Music Therapists of Cyprus hosts Listening to the Person, a one-day conference on music therapy in oncology and palliative care. Doctors, nurses and music therapists share their work across oncology, paediatrics and palliative care, from supporting children through invasive procedures to caring for older patients with cancer. Guest of honour Dr Georgios Tsirris, Professor of Music Therapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, speaks on palliative care and co-leads a hands-on workshop for registered participants. Tickets start at €10, and registration is required by 12 November. Arrivals from 09:00, with talks running from 09:30 to 15:00.
