Marathon of Theatre Readings at THOC: 12 New Cypriot Plays

About the event

Twelve brand-new Cypriot plays get their first public airing, read from the stage by professional actors of the Cyprus Theatre Organisation in a programme curated by Neoklis Neokleous. Each reading is followed by a short conversation with the playwright, a chance to hear where a story came from and how it found its shape. The plays grew out of a long-running writing workshop, [Not Only] Words on Paper, in which fifteen new writers spent 2024 and 2025 learning the craft under the late Alexia Papalazarou. The marathon is dedicated to her and carries on her habit of giving fresh voices a stage. Readings start at 7pm; entry is free and seats can be reserved on 77 77 27 17.
