NT Live: The Fifth Step at Rialto Theatre

About the event

After years in Alcoholics Anonymous, James takes on the newcomer Luka as his sponsor, and over black coffee and swapped stories the two build a fragile friendship. As Luka nears step five, the moment of confession, some dangerous truths surface and put at risk the trust both of their recoveries rest on. David Ireland's new play is provocative and subversively funny, and Finn den Hertog's production was filmed live in London's West End. Olivier Award winner Jack Lowden shares the stage with Martin Freeman, who has both an Emmy and a BAFTA to his name. The screening starts at 8.30pm and lasts 80 minutes, with tickets at €12 and €10.
