Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind: Dionysos Theatre on tour in Limassol

About the event

Theatro Dionysos takes its 77th production on tour: Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Aimilios Charalambides. Written in 1985, the play has lost none of its edge. At its heart is domestic violence, shown not as an isolated incident but as the product of deeper failings within the family and society, a cycle of cruelty handed down from one generation to the next. It explores how trauma shapes the mind and behaviour, and does so with a harshness and a poetry that leave its questions hanging. Curtain up is at 8.30pm, with tickets at €15, or €12 for pensioners, students and schoolchildren, available from Soldout and Stephanis stores.
