The Marios Toumbas Trio: Straight-Ahead Jazz

About the event

An evening of straight-ahead jazz from the trio of pianist Marios Toumbas, double bassist Irenaeos Koullouras and drummer Ioannis Vafeas, old friends who all studied at Berklee. Expect post-bop arrangements, tunes by Clifford Brown, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea and Joey Calderazzo, and a few of Toumbas's own compositions. The club serves pizza, its Jazz Platter and chicken wings, with wine, cocktails, mocktails and beer to go with the music. Doors open at 8pm and the music starts at 9pm, and tables tend to go quickly. Tickets are €13 in advance or €15 on the door.
