Wiener Mozart Orchester: Imperial Gala Concert in Cyprus

About the event

The Vienna Mozart Orchestra brings its Imperial Gala Concert to Cyprus for the first time, a programme otherwise heard only at the Baroque Palais Auersperg, where Mozart and Johann Strauss once performed. Soloists from the orchestra share the stage with professional singers and ballet dancers for grand concert waltzes, ballet music and well-loved operetta melodies by Mozart, Strauss and Vivaldi. Founded in 1986, the orchestra plays regularly in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein and at the Vienna State Opera. The concert lasts about an hour and a half with an interval, and the vocal solos in German and Italian need no translating to be enjoyed. Curtain up is at 19:30 in Limassol, 20:00 in Paphos and 19:00 in Nicosia, with tickets from €49.
