With a Suitcase and a Key: an Evening for Occupied Kythrea at the Melina Mercouri Hall

Kythrea Municipality's evening With a Suitcase and a Key honours the memory of the occupied homeland and a hope of return that has never faded. Presidential Commissioner Marios Hartsiotis will speak on behalf of the President, alongside Kythrea's mayor Marios Zampakides and Lambros Sklavounos, mayor of its twin town Egaleo. The artistic programme follows, with music from Stefanos Pelekanis's ensemble and a dramatised reading by Christiana Mouzoura and Stavros Konstantinou. Through music, words and theatre, the evening reflects on the refugee experience, the pain of uprooting and the enduring longing to return to ancestral homes. It begins at 7pm and admission is free.
