With Your Lyrics, Lefteris: a Tribute to Lefteris Papadopoulos in Strovolos

About the event

Strovolos Municipality's autumn concert series pays tribute to Lefteris Papadopoulos, one of Greece's great lyricists, whose words fill more than 1,200 songs, dozens of them written for the cinema. The ensemble Mousikoi Synodoiporoi weaves music, spoken word and images into an evening of songs about life, love, joy, loneliness and heartache that have been handed down through the generations. Christos Stasis narrates, sings and plays bouzouki and harmonica, joined by singers Stella Kakoulli, Dimitris Tsoulakos on guitar and Marios Solomou on percussion, with Angelos Doukas at the piano. The evening starts at 8pm. Tickets are €7, and every penny goes to the Association for the Welfare of People with Intellectual Disabilities. Holders of the European Disability Card get in free, as does one companion.
