Civil Resistance Forum 2026 in Nicosia

About the event

Now in its third year, the Civil Resistance Forum brings together voices from Cyprus, Lithuania, Ukraine and further afield for a day of talks. This year's theme, The Long Fight, asks how resistance, solidarity and truth can be kept alive over the long haul, not only in moments of crisis. Through panel discussions, personal testimony and expert insight, it looks at what really keeps people going: public trust, civic courage and the resolve to carry on when no end is in sight. It is just as much a place to meet, swap ideas and have proper conversations about freedom and democratic values. Organised jointly by the Lithuanian Community in Cyprus, the Community of Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship and the Embassy of Lithuania in Greece, the forum is held in English and is free to attend, though registration is required.
