About the event
Built around the Messages on Metal exhibition, this family morning at the Leventis Municipal Museum sets out to show how a coin can speak. Ancient coins are treated as tiny carriers of history, and children and parents read their shapes, symbols and figures for clues about the people who made them. Learning stations, interactive digital screens and the museum's own hands-on minting workshop do much of the work. The programme runs from 10.30 to 12.00 in Greek, is free, and places must be booked in advance. It starts promptly, so arriving ten minutes early is wise.
