East Cyprus Music Meetings: Copyright, Jazz & Folk-Fusion, Modular Synthesis — Larnaca

About the event

Music Copyright Explained is part of a free series for musicians, songwriters, producers and promoters from across the island. Chris Cooke of CMU in the UK gives an overview of how music copyright works around the world and how music rights actually earn money, plus what artists and songwriters need to do to keep the rights in their songs and recordings protected. The same day carries on with sessions on jazz and folk-fusion routes and on modular synthesis, rounding off with a jam session and a merchandise market. East Cyprus Music Meetings is run by Windcraft Loud with SCALA Music & Sound Hub and Cyprus Mixtape, and led by Cemre Arca and Maria Kaimaklioti. Sessions are in English and free, workshops need registering for, and the sign-up form also offers car-sharing on a first-come basis. The session starts at 11.30am.
