East Cyprus Music Meetings: Funding for Artists & Five Ways to Release Music — Famagusta

About the event

Five Ways to Release Music is part of a free series for musicians, songwriters, producers and promoters from across the island. Artist and manager Henry Walton runs a workshop on how real artists actually get heard, from a steady drip of weekly singles to six-month album campaigns, and which approach might suit you. Afterwards Cypriot artists and cultural practitioners, among them Cahit Kutrafali, Kyriacos Frangoulis of Stonus, Maria Kaimaklioti and Sevgi Başar, share what they have learnt taking music around Cyprus and beyond, before a jam session and merchandise market take over from 9pm. East Cyprus Music Meetings is run by Windcraft Loud with SCALA Music & Sound Hub and Cyprus Mixtape, and led by Cemre Arca and Maria Kaimaklioti. Sessions are in English and free, workshops need registering for, and the sign-up form also offers car-sharing on a first-come basis. The workshop starts at 6.30pm.
