Kannoures Nature Trail Hike with Salonica View

About the event

Salonica View, an outdoor and sports tourism outfit, is leading an autumn hike along the Kannoures trail to Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis in the Troodos. The linear 9 km route starts on the main Karvounas to Troodos Square road and passes close to the source of the Karkotis river and an abandoned chromium mine. It finishes at the twelfth-century Byzantine church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, after which the group heads into Kakopetria with the option of lunch at Chrysanthis tavern. The trail is graded difficult and calls for very good fitness, and parts of it have no mobile signal.
