Baroque Labyrinth is an unusually intimate recital in which mezzo-soprano Anousha Nazari and guitarist Antoine Morinière let European early music and the Persian tradition meet. Handel, Dowland and Barbara Strozzi sit alongside songs by the 15th-century Persian composer Abd al-Qadir Maraghi and Morinière's own setting of verses by Rumi. Born on the shores of the Caspian, Nazari won the International Prize at the Tehran Music Festival before moving to France in 2016. Morinière has taken first prizes at guitar competitions in Seville and Vienna and plays at venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris and Wigmore Hall. The concert starts at 8.30pm, and tickets are on sale through SoldOut.
