Andreas Kalli: The Future of the Past

About the event

Andreas Kalli's solo show The Future of the Past brings together sculpture, kinetic installations, paintings and prints. Much of it moves, slowly: a balloon trailing a black ribbon turns in mid-air, and two large black feathers open and close around a sea urchin cast in black resin. In another piece a feather and a knife edge towards each other before a polished metal sphere without ever touching. Upstairs, feathers on moving metal rods trace the flight of a flock drifting into the distance, beside dreamlike painted landscapes. A painting on metal brings in the sea, palm trees and a sunset. The exhibition is curated by Maria Stathi.
