From Research to Experience: Immersive Technologies at CYENS, a Dis-Course talk by Dr Kleanthis Neokleous

Dr Kleanthis Neokleous opens the new Dis-Course season, an independent series of talks that brings together the arts, research and technology. He leads the ITICA research group at the CYENS Centre of Excellence, and his talk introduces CYENS, ITICA and its Museum Lab, showing how research, creativity and human-centred design come together in interactive, immersive work for cultural heritage and education. Through selected projects he traces the journey from first idea and experiment to real-world use, drawing on virtual and augmented reality, 3D visualisation, artificial intelligence and interactive storytelling. The talk is followed by an open discussion with the audience and is also streamed online. It starts at 6pm; entry is free, but booking ahead is essential.
