About the event
What would a city that truly works for everyone look like? That question drives the closing event of the European ACT4DYS project, which turns to accessibility, universal design, urban mobility and the part young people can play in building more inclusive, sustainable cities. CARDET and Nicosia Municipality host the morning, with support from the Cyprus Confederation of Organisations of the Disabled. Speakers include Nicosia's deputy mayor Chrysanthos Fakas, the confederation's president Themida Anthopoulou, road safety ambassador Rafaela Miltiadou, Vasiliki Charitonos, who designs clothes for people with limited mobility, and wheelchair basketball player Sotiris Christoforou. It is open to the public, with young people, disabled people and organisations especially welcome, and runs from 9am to 12.30pm; registration is essential.
